Get your kids to make their own dinner! These personal pizzas are so easy anyone can make them.

History of Naan

Naan

The word naan comes from the Persian word “non,” meaning bread. The Egyptians brought yeast to India around 2500 years ago. It is at this time naan was created. Noble families enjoyed naan during breakfast.

Simple ingredients make up naan – flour, water, yogurt, and yeast. Traditionally cooked in a tandoor, people enjoy naan worldwide.

Toppings for Your Personal Pizza

Grab some Naan bread from your local grocery store. Then gather all the toppings your family would love to use. Some ideas for toppings include:

pepperoni
  • Pizza sauce
  • Ranch dressing

  • Pepperoni slices

Putting Your Personal Pizza Together

Give each person a piece of Naan bread, and let them go to town adding toppings. Spread the desired sauce on the naan.

Then add the meat and veggies. Top with mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning. Put the pizzas on a parchment-lined cooking sheet and heat in a 400ºF preheated oven for 5-7 minutes.

Our Family’s Favorite Personal Pizzas

Brian and I make a meat pizza that contains pizza sauce, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, jalapeños, mozzarella cheese, and Italian seasonings.

Our daughter’s favorite personal pizza is chicken, bacon, ranch pizza. Instead of pizza sauce, she uses ranch dressing. She then adds diced chicken, bacon bits, mozzarella cheese, and Italian seasoning.

Our son likes to make his pizza with alfredo sauce, diced chicken, sliced Roma tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and Italian seasoning.

Our youngest daughter is very picky. She likes to make cheese bread with her naan.

We would love to hear what you put on your pizzas! Comment below with your ideas.
